Manga of the Month

Inu Yasha
Okay, okay you caught me I changed it from Manga of the Week to Manga of the Month.
Grade: A

This manga has an excellent story line. It takes place in ancient Japan which a young modern day high school girl(Kagome Higurashi) finds herself wandering into and freeing the half demon Inu Yasha. Long story short these two end up on an adventure to gather the shards of The Jewel of Four Souls. Kagome wants to go on this adventure because she is worried for the innocent people that could be hurt by the demons with a shard of the jewel. And she feels partly responsible because she was the one who scattered the shards across the earth (unintentionally of course).
inu Yasha wants to go on their quest to gather the shards for himself in order to become a full demon.

Oh, and there's one other little twist I forgot to mention. Kagome is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo who imprisoned Inu Yasha....And is also the girl Inu Yasha loved.

Lord of the Rings

Okay, I shouldn't even have to explain these books to you. If you've never heard of Lord of the Rings then you must live under a rock.

These books were written by J.R.R. Tolkien as sequels for The Hobbit. Actually it's sequel not sequels, because the Lord of the Rings are actually one book divided into three volumes and then divided again into nine sections.

All in all these books can be dull in some parts. But if you can stick to the story then you'll be satisfied at the end because THESE BOOKS ROCK!!!
